REI is hosting an event called “Deep Survival- Prepare Mind & Body for Any Situation” this Friday night from 6:30-8pm. Come join Ranger Dave Gustafson for a discussion and slideshow regarding survival tactics. The US Navy, police departments, wild land firefighters, and many more agencies are using this information for training. This is important for any individual who uses Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks frequently. It is FREE so make sure you attend!
Local Lab Festival of New American Plays is this Friday through Sunday at Chautauqua Community House. You can get a 3-day festival pass for $50 dollars or $20 for each play. The Local Theater Company that features the hottest voices in theater around the country presents these plays. After each performance, there is a chance for the audience to become involved and give feedback as well as participate in a discussion with the author. Nothing beats a weekend concert! Come to the Macky Auditorium this Saturday to see Boulder Sensations with Rony Barrak, tabla, and Shodekeh, beatbox artist. Combining Lebanese percussionist Rony Barrak with beatboxer Shodekeh creates something that no one has ever experienced before.
